Sara Moulton’s book Home Cooking 101 is one of the best at-home cooking recipe books I have ever reviewed.
Yes, Sara is one of the first TV chefs. She had her own show on the Food Network for a decade. She filmed over 1,500 shows.
Her show introduced the world to Gale Gand, Michael Lomonaco, Ming Tsai, David Ruggerio, Anthony Bourdain, Michael Symon and Aaron Sanchez.
And Moulton was a protégée of Julia Child.
And she was the Food Editor of ABC-TV’s Good Morning America.
Sara graduated with high honors from the CIA (i.e. the Culinary Institute of America).
In 1982, she founded the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance which leveled the field of heavily-dominated male chefs.
Sara then moved onto PBS and Condé Nast’ Gourmet Magazine as a TV chef.
Sara is the author of several cookbooks including Sara Moulton Cooks at Home (2002), Sara’s Secrets for Weeknight Meals (2005) and Sara Moulton’s Everyday Family Dinners (2010). In March of 2016, Sara released her latest book, Sara Moulton’s Home Cooking 101: How To Make Everything Taste Better.
She is also the author of the Associated Press column “Kitchen Wise.”
All this experience is comes packed into her latest book Home Cooking 101.
This is the ultimate at-home recipe book from the beginner cook to the experienced chef.
Sara reveals how to get the best kitchen tools, how to master temperature and cooking times – even knowing how to balance flavors.
Home Cooking 101: How to Make Everything Taste Better reveals 150 tested recipes. Each recipe shows the step-by-step, time-tested methods that make each so delicious.
And popular chefs Rick Bayless, Amanda Cohen, Hiroko Shimbo, Jacques Torres, Joanne Chang, and Marc Vetri contribute their favorite recipes and in-depth lessons.
